Default Ranger avatars and cape problems

My male ranger character wears a full set of Druid's armor from Marhan's Grotto. My vest frequently shows through my guild cape when viewing my avatar from the back and the cape is swaying, as if the cape were not solid and were enveloped by my vest. I don't know how the cape is coded in the program, but could it be made a solid object so that my Druid's vest does not contact and go through the cape?

this is a common graphical glitch...warriors ascalon leggings and elementists chest piece also poke thru the cape and I'm sure there is others.

it would be nice to see a fix but most likely this isn't a prirority for anet at all.

I'm sure it's not a priority of ArenaNet, but doesn't hurt to bring it up

it's a common graphical glitch in any game that uses CG like guild wars. there's not much you can do about it.

Sadly collision detection to account for most armor elements with swaying capes would actually require a great deal of unnecessary resources to calculate this, because it will be making many more than it currently does, with so many wearing capes, rather than simply not being a priority I would say it is more of a priority not to do so.

Maybe an option added to detail options like:

High Detail Capes
Normal Capes
No Capes

High - bounce off, Normal - what we have now, none - no cape at all

Staves and other weapons also clip through the cape. Also, I doubt that coding cape physics is very high on Anet's priority list now. If it's really bugging you, turn off capes with the shiny new option

But you can't turn them off in PVP, which is all I ever do anymore anyway.

Didn't realize that the cape toggle would be coming so soon! Ignore me, I'll just turn off my cape (except in PvP) if it bothers me. In PvP, I'm usually too frenzied to gawk at my avatar anyway...

Shouldn't you have more pressing things to worry about in PvP than minor graphical glitches?
